Candy of the day: Why is it Boy Bands or Bands have to be in 5??

Got a message in Facebook asking if I would love to witness an Opening in Hills Mall, Kuching?
Replied with a great “YES!”.

Got excited over it and went over to Toys ‘R’ Us on the 30th January 2010.

:: The opening
The invited Guest who attended were Ms. Carol Chua - Country Manager of Toys LiFung Malaysia, Mr.Daren Wowchuk - Regional Head of Operations and Datin Lau Ngo Yung

:: The musical opening - reflects the races and culture of Sarawak
Notice the different drums each musicians holds? Reflects the races in Sarawak which are Malays, Chinese and Natives. I admire this opening as I was ‘wow-ed’ by the presentation of this.

Was greeted with the friendliness of the staffs all in and out of the store.

:: Toys ‘R’ Us
This is the very 1st Toys ‘R’ Us store in Kuching where it offers a wide range of toys. In this very store there are 7 zones specially cater for different age groups and special sections for boys and girls according to brands.

:: Cyril, Fahrie and Norman
See, the guys became a child again that very day. They went ‘OMG I have to have this!’.

:: Irene and the Mascot
Also, there was this tall yellow giraffe which is their mascot to entertain the crowd!

:: Mini Drum Set
Toys such as mini drum sets are available for your child from age 1 - 5. Imagine that! Too bad I can’t sit on the stool though.

Balloons are the colorful decoration to color the store. I still a child at heart as I absolutely adore balloons!

:: Loyalty Card
Toys ‘R’ Us Star Card Loyalty Programme, was launched in Malaysia in May 2006 and has reached over 2 millions across Asian Region. It’s a for life member card.
Fortunately during the very day of the opening, the royalty card was free for registration! If you haven’t got yourself one, please do!!

:: Fahrie & Norman
We get to purchase our own toys! With a big smile across our faces!

In the 1960s, an anthropomorphic giraffe cartoon character was introduced as Toys “R” Us’ mascot. His name, Geoffrey the Giraffe.

:: Drinks
We were served refreshments. Drinks - teas and coffees.

:: Bacon Sandwiches
Light snacks as sandwiches were the main attraction cause I wanted to pick up some and they were ‘ POOF’ gone!

Same goes with their Cheese Sandwiches

Sausage buns were fullfilling!

Spaghetti was one to finished. Predicting it’s yummy!

:: Pizza
Omg these pizza are.. WONDERFUL! But written there was ‘Omelette’

Chicken wings!! Am craving for it now!

French fries!!! The food serve is for the public especially kids therefore have to be childrens’ favorite snack food!

On top would be the squid balls while the bottom one is wedges!

Fish Fingers are yummy as well cause they don’t taste ‘coconut-ish’ if you know what I mean.

Sausage rolls!! Not dry and tasty!

Cabonara pasta would be my top favorite.. <3

Local fruits as desserts. Healthy okay~

My portion which I can’t finish!! Greedy little brat I am! Both Kathleen and Peter nagged though.

All in all, I really enjoyed the whole event. It was straightforward. No delays. No boring speeches. Very fun one too. Experienced myself as a little girl who adore the little pink things around wanna be a little princess again.

Candy of the day: Genting is currently misty. Good time to froze my heart to death.

Was so honored to be at The Lounge @ Royal Oak, which is located in the Hills Shopping Mall, the mall of Pullman Hotel.

The cakes that are being served are layer cake which comes with cheesy flavor and chocolate cake.

Juicy and tender. Just right. Not too cook and ‘red’ if you know what I mean.
There’s lamb chop even. But I didn’t managed to take picture of it due to my LAMB CRAVINGS!

I have no idea what’s the difference of Kilkenny and Heneiken but none ordered Heneiken.

Candy of the day: Currently in Penang. Can’t sleep due to the whole family snoring in front of me. Rather blog. LOL.

Visited Lit Yee the days when she works at King Centre, Iglool. During those time, were the Christmas Special flavors.

:: Iglool, King Centre
The place where she had her trainings. Obviously the place itself has more penguins than other places.

Yup the penguins. Cute aren’t they? Once you have the theme for your own place, stick to it. It plays an important part.

:: Lit Yee
She’s happy for us to visit her. Sweet right?

:: Jelly-Pudding
The promotion package was that if you order the 2 Christmas Special ice, it comes with free jelly-pudding. Flavored Corn, Chocolate and Strawberry. Most friends commented that the puddings aren’t as nice as they look like but for me, the flavors are they just very mild. It tasted a bit plastic-ky if you know what I mean.

:: Christmas Tree
The shaved ice above is called by the name of Christmas Tree. Green Tea flavored ice with toppings such as magic beans that pop into your mouth and yogurt flavor starts filling in your mouth, colored rice and nestum flakes.

:: Jingle Bells
Above would be one of my favorite, named Jingle Bells. Guava flavored ice with colored rice, raisins and candies. Me likey this!

Part of the decoration available around. Fake lovely tulips in watered jars.

You should try the shaved ice thing some time. To taste your taste buds.

Mua having the time of her life in ice land. LOL

Trust me, I’ve tried most of the flavors and I haven’t get sick of them. Maybe cause I got love crave in them. LOL.

Candy of the day: The rabbits like me are lucky in the year of the Tiger. How’s your year?

It’s time to update my blog as often as possible right?
Went for a Christmas and New Year promotion package at Causeway Bay at Brighton Square.

:: Our drinks before it is stirred
Causeway Bay at Brighton Square opened since last year beginning of December if not mistaken. Didn’t know about it till someone took me there.

:: Drinks after stirred
Both of us ordered the Christmas and New Year’s Special set which comes with a drink, soup, a course and dessert. Very affordable. And I apologized for not knowing what does the drinks are called.
However, the drinks are awesome to which it is not that sweet and tasteless.

We ordered at 7.48pm and the orders arrived at 7.55pm. It’s less than half an hour!

:: Pumpkin Soup
I never had pumpkin soup before. Nor cakes or I don’t know.. anything related to pumpkin?? Cause I don’t like it. But I taste this.. yummy!! And yes, I love sweet things. The soup is sweet!

:: Grilled Beef with Mushroom Sauce
My course. Something with grilled and beef. Am sorry. Didn’t record down. Such a blogger huh? Anyways, it was half cook which made the meat tender and juicy. However, even it wasn’t dry, I need more sauce. Maybe I am a sauce person, particularly mushroom sauce. My course also came with lovely side dishes which I really enjoy! See the little pear? It’s fried mashed potato, of course without the mash sauce. Very yummy. Nice to be eaten with the beef! The tomato shaped like a flower was filled with pure cheese. Therefore I heart my side dishes!

:: Peppermint Lamb Chop
My partner in crime’s course. Lamb Chop served with refreshing minty sauce and vegetables as side dishes. Even I was fed with both course, I can’t seem to have enough of both. Yes, I have to admit, I am a huge eater! Which explains the weight gaining huh?

:: Dessert
Served with soft sweet loaves of bread and a scope of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce on top.

All in all, I quite enjoy the food we ordered and the environment. Next trip there I would wanna sit on a better part of the cafe which would be the 1st floor. The building architecture is awesome. Alike Banquet which looks alike a ship’s deck if you know what I mean.
